Mississippi State Bulldogs fans will have to wait a little longer to see transfer tackle Brandon Sneh in action. The UAB offensive lineman, who committed to the Bulldogs on January 21st, has exhausted his eligibility and will not be eligible to play in the upcoming season. This means that Sneh, a three-star prospect ranked as the #54 best offensive tackle in the transfer portal and the #720 overall player, will not be suiting up for the Bulldogs next season.
Sneh's journey to Mississippi State has been an interesting one. After starting his college career at Elizabeth City State, an FCS Division II program in the University of North Carolina system, he transferred to Wagner College in New York, where he started eleven games in 2024. He then entered the transfer portal for the first time, committing to Kansas State before returning to the portal in April and ultimately committing to UAB.
His time at UAB was productive, as he started all Blazer games at left tackle, including the bowl game against Tulsa. During that game, he helped the offense pound out 229 net rushing yards with two touchdowns and protected passer Jalen Kitna, who went 14-of-17 with two more scores in the win. For the full season, he was on the field for 795 snaps and graded out at 80.3% playing left tackle, according to Pro Football Focus.
However, it seems that Sneh's time at Mississippi State will be cut short. The Bulldogs will start spring training looking to find some starting offensive tackles, and with Sneh's eligibility exhausted, he will not be a part of the team next season. This means that the Bulldogs will have to look elsewhere for offensive line help.
What makes this particularly interesting is the fact that Sneh has been on the move since leaving Neumann Goretti High School, beginning with another prep school year at Fork Union Military Academy. He has been a familiar face in the transfer portal, and his move to Mississippi State was seen as a chance for him to prepare himself to play at the next level. However, it seems that his time with the Bulldogs will be cut short, leaving fans to wonder what the future holds for the talented tackle.
