Kayla Han, Luke Vatev & Shareef Elaydi Highlight 2025 Winter Jrs – West Psych Sheets (2026)

Get ready for an adrenaline-fueled week as the nation's top junior swimmers dive into the pool for the prestigious Winter Juniors competition! This event promises to be a thrilling showcase of talent and determination.

The West Site: A Battle of Champions

Among the women, we have some of the country's most promising recruits, including Kayla Han, Sydney Schoeck, and Alyssa Ton. For the men, keep an eye on Luke Vatev, Rowan Cox, and Shareef Elaydi. These athletes are not just names; they are the future of swimming!

Kayla Han, a two-time USA National Team member and the #2 recruit in her class, is set to defend her titles in the 1650 free and 400 IM for the third consecutive year. This will be her final Winter Junior Championships, and she's seeded first in all four events she's entered: 500 free, 1000 free, 1650 free, and 400 IM.

But here's where it gets interesting: Sydney Schoeck, the #7 recruit, is hot on Han's heels, seeded second behind her in three events. Schoeck is also the top seed in the 200 back.

And this is the part most people miss: the rising stars! Mikayla Tan, a NAG record holder, will be swimming in multiple events, including the 200 IM, 100 fly, and 200 breast, where she's seeded second or higher.

Other top seeds include Kelsey Zhang, Adalynn Biegler, Clare Watson, and Alyssa Ton, who will be battling it out in various events.

On the men's side, Luke Vatev, another #2 recruit, is entered in four events, including the 100 back and 200 back, where he's the top seed. Rowan Cox, from Longhorn Aquatics, aims to defend his title in the 100 fly, and he's also entered in several other events.

Shareef Elaydi, a CIF State Champion, holds top seeds in the 200 IM and 200 fly and will be a force to reckon with.

Other notable top seeds include Maxwell Stanislaus, Tyler Porter, and Andrew Eubanks.

Don't forget Gabriel Manteufel, the #2 recruit in his class, who will be focusing on just one event: the mile. He's the defending champion in this event and the 500 free.

This Winter Juniors competition is shaping up to be a battle of the best, with plenty of exciting races and potential records on the line. Who will emerge as the champions? Will any of these athletes surprise us with their performances?
